Civic Association Badajoz has presented an ambitious plan, under the name "Baluarte Plan," which urges the citizens and authorities to engage in the restoration of the walled punished the border city. The ultimate goal would be for Badajoz entered into the list of World Heritage cities, under this plan which would include reliable reconstruction of the walled demolished in the years 50-60 of the past century, as well as the removal of doors or defenses fortification of missing a day. The project, which lasted several years and would also to eliminate adjacent buildings, are complemented by a series of information panels to explain events or milestones related to the fortification Vauban.
